Our mission is to develop critical thinkers who are effective communicators, committed to service and rooted in faith. The benefit of a John Paul II High School education is that we cultivate a student’s unique gifts, provide a vibrant academic and social experience that inspires the student to lead a values guided life rooted in faith. Our John Paul II family is composed of members of the community who value a Catholic education as a means to instill ethics, leadership and morality in service to others. Admission to John Paul II High School is determined by a number of aspects; some are subjective, some are objective and quantitative. The students’ applications are evaluated to determine their likelihood of succeeding at John Paul II both academically and socially. Efforts are made to include within each grade students of varied talents, leadership potential, academic strength, and personal and family backgrounds. Our application process is designed to help us determine, as much as possible, the suitability of John Paul II High School to meet the needs of each student applying to insure the best possible educational and instructional arena for all students. John Paul II High School is committed to creating a welcoming educational environment in which students and families experience a greater understanding and appreciation of others, regardless of race, creed, color, national or ethnic origin in accordance with the teachings of Pope John Paul II. The first day of school is always exciting. We know that those tentative faces we see arriving in the morning will, by afternoon, have a glimmer of a smile and an expression of relief in the realization that John Paul II is a warm and welcoming place. These talented and diverse students, drawn to John Paul II’s excellence, see a bright future ahead. Our job remains to hold the doors open for them to walk through at graduation, prepared for college and beyond. We hope you decide to apply and join us in opening the doors of opportunity for your student. The application process begins September with an end of January deadline for all information to have been received in the Office of Admissions. However, we will continue to have a rolling admission process until the school reaches capacity. Do not delay in calling for a tour (held Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m.) or requesting application information to get the ball rolling on a path to a bright, successful future.
