International students must meet the same requirements as all other students and be fluent in English, reading, writing, and speaking. International students must demonstrate their English ability through the admissions process and by taking either the TOEFL or the iTEP SLATE and must interview, in person, prior to acceptance.
All international students who wish to be considered for admission to John Paul II High School must complete the following:
- Online Application
- $100.00 application fee
- Foreign Credentials: Complete the FSCA Application to arrange for an evaluation of school transcripts, and have the evaluation sent to John Paul II High School. Request a General Statement of Equivalency if the student has completed only Middle School (grades 6-8) or a Detailed Evaluation of Coursework if the student has completed any high school (grades 9-11.)
- Two teacher recommendations: Teacher Recommendations can be found as part of the online application. Please print the two recommendation forms and deliver them to your current school. The recommendations must be translated into English.
- ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam): Please visit their website for more information regarding this required exam.
- TOEFL
- Interview: Interviews will be held in early 2025 <Depends on current School Year>
- Extended Response Questions
An I-20 will not be issued until the student is accepted as a student at John Paul II High School. Once the I-20 has been issued, the student must enter the country on the F1 to enroll in classes at John Paul II High School.
Any international student enrolling for the first time at John Paul II High School will be assessed an additional fee of $7,500.00.

- Do you currently have international students? Yes. John Paul II High School admits international students on a case-by-case basis each year.
- Does John Paul II High School arrange host families for international students? No. Host families/guardianship is the sole responsibility of the applicant.
- Do you admit international students mid-term? No. International applications should plan to apply during the normal application season (October through July) and plan to start the first (1st) semester (August).
- Do you have a minimum score for the TOEFL? Yes. Minimum scores are as follows:

- Overall Score: 81+
- Can the PSAT be submitted in place of the ISEE? Yes. We will accept a PSAT score or other standardized test score that has been pre-approved by our Admissions Office, in place of the ISEE test.
- Do you issue an I-20? Yes. Accepted and enrolled students will be issued an I-20 once the application process is complete (grade evaluation, online app, test scores, face-to face interview, essay, teacher recommendations) AND full tuition and international student fees have been paid.
