Full-time Employees can sign up for benefits on their first day of employment. They may enroll in a single or a family health coverage plan on their hire date. Coverage goes into effect the first day of the month after the hire date (i.e., if your hire date is June 3rd, your insurance effective date is July 1). Please direct questions to Mark Crawford, Director of Human Resources. When an asterisk* is listed, some restrictions may apply. Medical & Dental Insurance100% Premium-paid employee coverage for both Administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Texas All full-time employees (30 hours per week minimum for staff and four (4) classes for teachers) will receive medical and dental insurance under the policies provided through the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas. Participation in the insurance plan is mandatory for all eligible employees without proof of coverage. The school fully pays the premium for the medical insurance and DHMO dental insurance for the employee. Optional PPO dental insurance is available at an additional cost to employees. Optional dependent coverage is available for the employee's family members at an additional cost to the employee. Life InsuranceEmployer-paid Life Insurance, up to $50,000 As an eligible employee with Medical coverage, the Diocese of Dallas provides you with Basic Life and AD&D insurance in the amount of your annual salary up to $50,000 but no less than $20,000. There is no cost to you for Basic Life coverage, and you are automatically enrolled if the Diocesan Medical plan covers you. However, you must complete the beneficiary information on your enrollment form. |
